3rd of November.

Early in the morning we will have breakfast in the hotel because it is included. Afterwards, we will go to rent a car as we had decided and then we will drive to our apartment in Golden Sands 3, Bur Dubai. The itinerary we will be doing, is shown in the following picture.

Golden Sands Hotel Apartments are magnifically located in the heart of the fashionable Bur Dubai. Surrounded by the exclusive Shopping Malls, Textile & Electronic market, Dubai Museum, Heritage Village, the Metro Junction, Bur Juman & Al Fahidi Metro Station, variety of Restaurants, Fast Food joints, & Night Spots, we will find ourselves immersed in luxury. Also, The Central Business District, World Trade Centre and Convention halls, where the world’s tallest tower Burj Khalifa stands are just approximately 4 kms away.

Apart from the advantages of it’s great location, It offers plenty of facilities, such as; smoking & non-smoking rooms, front Desk open 24h, Digital Safety Deposit box in each room Free of Charge, Sun Terrace, Elevator, Covered Car Parking Free of Charge, Maintenance call, Security, Welcome pack on arrival (tea, coffee, sugar, creamer, & a bottle of mineral water), Kitchenette in the room, Crockery & Cutlery, Washing Machine with Dryer in every room, Iron & Ironing board, Satellite Channels…

Once in the Golden Sands aparthotel, we will go to the reception, which is located in the lobby, to do the check-in. We have booked a familiar Suite, only for accommodation. The Suite has 4 individual beds and one bathroom, including free wifi in the room and public areas. The room is equipped with TV, washing/ drying machine and kitchenette (2 ring hot plate, refrigerator, toaster, electric kettle, basic crockery, cutlery, cookware and microwave) and a dining area, where wi will have our lunches during our stay there.  Free entrance to the pool, sauna and gymnasium is available too.  It seems we will enjoy our stay there!

The next stage will be taking a ride in the traditional wooden Arab boat, also known as Abra. Bur Dubai Abra Dock is a historic district that is lined with many such boats, making it one of the most picturesque spots in Dubai. We will go through the creek of Bur Dubai to Deira, in the line Deira Old Souq Station (Deira) - Bur Dubai Station (Bur Dubai). This line is used usually by the inhabitants, due to the affordable price of 0,25 € . This line works all day, so we will have time to walk through Deira, take some beutiful photos and later come back. During the ride we will able to appreciate the amazing views, Textile Souk and some art galleries.

Regarding Deira, it is located on the east side of Dubai Creek, opposite the other main section of the city, Bur Dubai. While Bur Dubai is a modern and commercial area, Deira is more traditional. We will be surrounded by the traditional world-famous souks, traditional Arabian markets, and the city’s oldest trading areas, all lively and colourful. Shops open from 9:00 a.m to 13:00 p.m and from 14:00 p.m to 22:00 p.m.

Our stomach will be calling us by the time we will have finished visiting Deira, so we will take the abra back to Bur Dubai. Near the Dubai museum, where we are planning to go in the afternoon, it is located the excellent Sarpino’s Pizzeria. Not only we will be served tasty food, but also in a very cheap price. It is part of an hotel, so we will be using its luxurious bathrooms if we need them. A recommendation from one friend of us has made us decide to have lunch here.

After having lunch and with lots of energy, we will go to the Dubai Museum. It is the main museum of Dubai and is located in the Al Fahidi Fort, built in 1787. The oldest existing building in Dubai was opened in 1971, with the purpose of showing the traditional way of living in the Emirate of Dubai. Local antiquities, artifacts from African and Asian countries, several dioramas showing life in the emirate before discovering oil and artifacts from recent discoveries as old as 3000 B.C will be what we will find in the museum. Consequently, we can say we will be experts  in the archeology and history of Dubai.

Although we will be exhausted, we will go to the Dubai Mall (Bur Dubai). Not only is the biggest mall of the United Arab Emirates, but also of the world! More than 1200 clothing, books... shops , all luxurious, shining and clean, will be what we will be seen. Although we won’t buy anything due to the expensive shop, we are so excited to see them.

The parking is free and there is a fountain show at 20:00 o’clock. It lasts 30 minutes and after seeing it we will go to the apartahotel, have dinner and sleep.
